OUR GUARANTEE

TERMS:  Everything is guaranteed to be as described; everything is offered subject to prior sale.  Delivery in the U.S. will be by ground UPS and shipment abroad by U.S. air mail, unless we are otherwise instructed. Overnight and second-day delivery can readily be arranged at an additional charge.  Prices are net, with postage/insurance added.  Private customers not known to us are requested to pay by credit card or send a check to clear before shipment, on first ordering; institutions may be billed as their bureaucracies require.  Pennsylvanians (only) must expect to be charged the required sales taxes.  VISA, MasterCard, American Express, the Discover card, PayPal, check, and wire payments are all welcome.  Charging information should be supplied by using our SECURE form (accessed from the bar at left) or sent in at least three SEPARATE numbered e-mails (i.e., half the number, half the number, and the expiration date and security code).  Fax and phone still operate!

   

DO NOT send sensitive information in one e-mail unencrypted.

ORDERING: Please supply author, short title, and place and date of publication of each desired item (the secure order form offers copy-and-click routes to sending these, easily), and please note that for UPS shipment we will need a full street address. We can accept orders via secure order form, or via e-mail, fax, and telephone; of course we also accept postal orders, but it should be noted that those customers who send them often “lose” books to those ordering by the quicker media.  Members of the staff are ordinarily available to take orders and answer questions on weekdays between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. (Eastern Time), with an answering machine active at other times.  We hope to hear from you!

YOUR PRIVACY:  We don't know anything about you as an individual except what you tell us, and (except for our books and manuscripts) we don't sell nuthin' to nobody.  We know in an aggregate way how many pages, and which, are accessed, and we have some sense of what hours and days the cybershop is most active, but we do not track individual visitors' movements through the site. Cookies, around here, are still consumed with a glass of milk.

OUR GUARANTEE:  Everything we sell is sold on approval. Anything may be returned for any reason within 5 days of receipt, although prior notice is required and naturally the returned item must arrive back here safely (packed according to our instructions). We don't like returns and don't have many, but life is too short and money too scarce for you to keep any book that on its arrival doesn't suit:  One's collection should give pleasure, not qualms.
