Notarial document executed on 10 June 1776 in which Isaac Miles (blacksmith) of Whitemarsh Township, Jonathan Sturges (yeoman) of Lower Merion Township, and John Roberts (miller) of Upper Merion Township, PA, attest to their debt of ₤222 owed to John Miles’s estate, as part of a settlement established by the Philadelphia Orphans’ Court. All three men signed this copy, additionally witnessed and signed by James Humphreys.
